World Vision for Christ is hosting a special event: Africa Night, an evening of singing, food, fun, and fellowship. we will also be met with challenge, as important information is shared about the needs of Christians and churches on this vast continent.

All proceeds go to Release, and Child Gospel Mission – a Nigeria-based orphanage.

Dr Albert Chambers will start a series of meetings speaking about the Second Coming of Christ starting this weekend at Paragon Chapel at 7.30 on Saturday.

This promises to be a serious look at the return of Jesus and will be an enlightening, enriching time in God’s presence.

He walked with the untouchables of society. He listened to the lonely, He befriended the sick and ‘unclean’.

The unstable and troubled of mind flocked to Him. Children ran to be by His side. The rejected and depressed found hope and a reason for living in Him.

He sat with the beggars and conversed with them. Those who were bound in body, mind, and spirit found liberty after meeting with Him. But He was crucified. What was His crime?

One man said, “I find no fault in this man.” But He was crucified.

What was His crime?

He offered nothing but love and hope to all humanity. But He was crucified.

What was His crime?

His name? The Lord Jesus Christ. 

What do you accuse Him of? Do you find Him guilty? Or will you go to Him and find, refuge, hope and purpose?

The first Open-Air witness was in Drogheda just north of Dublin. Further Open-Airs and tract distributions were held in:

• Lisburn
• Belfast
• Omagh
• Newcastle
• Portadown
• Cookstown
• and back to Drogheda

The team were able to sing and testify live over Radio for approximately 20 minutes and opportunity was given in the Bible Pattern Church, Portadown, to take the “Open-Air” into the church. We were able to speak of this ministry of World Vision for Christ.

We thank God for almost 10,000 Gospel tracts distributed as well as New Testaments and children’s tracts. We thank God for safe travelling (we clocked up 2,270 miles in the minibus.) We thank God for all those we were able to talk with, pray for and minister to and for the privilege of taking people’s burdens to Him in prayer. We thank God for the nights of fellowship and ministry with the saints whilst in Ireland, and for all who have prayed and contributed in making our visit possible. And we thank Him for enabling us to print and purchase the literature that we brought with us.

We feel that this was an effective witness as was proven by the amount of people that came to speak with us.
