Remembrance

taken

Dear friend,

It is right and proper to remember and honour all those who have sacrificed their lives for us to experience the freedoms we have today. Without their sacrifice, our world would be very different to what it is.

Isn’t it appropriate to also remember the sacrifice that One Man made to give us all eternal freedom? At this time of remembrance, we urge you to consider what Christ did for all mankind over two thousand years ago…

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten SON, that whosoever, believes in Him, would not perish, but have everlasting life.” John, chapter 3, verse 16. ~ The Holy Bible

For the last 30 years, World Vision for Christ has been distributing “Poppy Tracts” around the Remembrance period, to help others retain the memory of those people that have lost their lives in various conflicts over the years. We have also made sure to remind those that read our leaflets of Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary.

He gave His life so that all men, women, boys and girls could be set free from the consequences of sin in their lives, His kind of selfless act is reflected in those we honour at Remembrance time. The Bible says that Jesus came to “set the captives free”. All of us are in need of a Saviour – all are in bondage to sin with a consequence that is terrible and eternal. But through belief in Jesus – all can be set free – with a reward that will be wonderful and eternal…

So this year, if you have not done so already, we urge once again that you consider Jesus and His sacrifice. Have you settled the question? Do you know where your eternal destination is?

If you know that you want to call on God, you can do so right where you are – this short page can help explain.
